GRIGODAS was born in 1999 in Irkutsk. Lives and works in Moscow. Got a programmer's diploma in Irkutsk State University, then graduated from the master's degree program in National University of Science and Technology MISIS. She took courses in video production and Business English.

She started to work with photography and since 2020 she's been a member of the Irkutsk Photographic Society and then moved to digital art.

She participated in online program of the biennale "Art for the future", "Eco.Techno.Art" (Moscow), Chuvash Biennale of Contemporary Art (Cheboksary), "Heritage and modernity" (Moscow), "Barefoot" (Irkutsk)

Among group photo exhibitions are: "The most beautiful country" (Moscow), The second regional photo contest of the Irkutsk Photographic Society, Annual city photo contest "My World" (Irkutsk), Solo photo exhibition "Untitled" in Irkutsk.

ARTIST STATEMENT

GRIGODAS' artistic activity is based on an interest in the culture and history of her native land. She is from Irkutsk and has roots from Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal Territory. Her work is the disclosure of the cultural characteristics of the Buryat people. A forgotten and interesting story is revealed in her works in a new way and is born anew. She works not only with Buryat culture but also with unusual historical archives that affect her from the inside. She represents archival data through video art, 3D graphics and generative art.
