The work is dedicated to one of the most significant places in Vladivostok - Millionka district. The houses and courtyards of this area have changed over the last hundred years. And this project shows these changes in the most vivid way.
Millionka is a district in the historical center of Vladivostok, bounded by Pogranichnaya, Semyonovskaya, Admiral Fokin, Aleutskaya streets (however, sometimes other nearby streets are included in the boundaries of Millionka). These are several old quarters in the city center, built in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. from red brick. They are distinguished by characteristic arches, "spectacled" gates, balconies, labyrinths, openwork lattices, well-yards.

There are two versions of the origin of the name Millionka. According to the first, Millionka was called the building at 3/8 Semyonovskaya, in which several thousand unpretentious Chinese were placed at the beginning of the 20th century - on plank beds in two tiers. According to another, the inhabitants of the local slums were ironically called "millionaires" because of their poverty.
